Exciting Changes

Wow... Its been a while. I've fallen off the blogging boat and had a really hard time getting back on. Things have been a little crazy the past little bit. We've had some big changes in our little family and we couldn't be more excited about them! First and foremost- We are having a baby!!!... I'm pretty sure most of you know already, but I need to document. :)

We are expecting our sweet baby girl in June. Overall I really can't complain about the pregnancy. I've been more uncomfortable than I'd really like to be, but thats to be expected. I've had a hard time feeling like I'm ready for her to come, mostly due to the fact that we aren't in our own space right now. She will be here in less than 15 weeks and I've had multiple freak-out moments. Luckily Kyler is always very calm. Its fun to have our families be excited for us too. We got a travel set for Christmas thanks to Kylers family. We already look like pros!

He is going to be such a good Daddy!

Here's to the 3rd trimester around the corner!

Other exciting changes include a few job changes.  I applied for a job at Ensign Floral and had an interview set up the same day.  I received the job at the interview and was quite surprised at how fast everything had happened.  After being at Tai Pan for just over 6 years I was a little nervous and intimidated to accept.  I talked with Kyler and we felt like it was the right decision for us.  I'm really glad now that I took it.  I don't think I could have conquered another holiday season at Tai Pan being in the first few months of my pregnancy and feeling like I was at the time.  It really was a blessing and I feel like I am learning a ton that will help with my flower business in the future!

Notice I said a few job changes... Kyler has been applying for jobs the past couple months as well.  He is in his second to last semester of school and we've been anxious to try and have something figured out before the baby came- whether it was an internship or just working on finding a job.  He applied at a company called CSC and after a few weeks of interviews was offered a job.   He said goodbye to FedEx (super excited to do) and his Weber State Bookstore job (kind of sad to do) and now works full time in Logan.  He is really liking what he does and can't wait to graduate! Only a few more months! Next comes the house hunting in Brigham City.  I just have to remind myself to have patience!

Loving life!!

Christmas

Merry Christmas- We had a fun time this Christmas. Kyler got his PS3 and I got my Silhouette. I also got a box of oranges from Kyler. I had been asking him all month long what I was getting for Christmas and thats what he kept telling me. It made me laugh and I think he had a good time watching me open it!

Days 4- 10

Ha! Can you say FAIL! Heres my Thankful list for the past week. :)

I'm Thankful for-

4- Parents (both mine and Kylers) that care about us and how our lives are going! Hopefully you don't mind the annoying phone calls about silly little things we never cared to learn about before we were married. We love spending time with you and love you so much!

5- Music- (been listening to Christmas music lately- (Shhh don't tell my dad)

6- Great Friends who have time for movie nights, racquetball games, craft nights and all sorts of other fun things. We are glad you all invite us to hang out!

7- This week I'm glad to have a heater in our house...

8- A job. Like all jobs it can be frustrating, but most of the time its good. I'm grateful to be employed and that Kyler has a job. I've learned a lot of things where I'm at, and know that those skills will help me in the future.

9- Friday night date night! Tonight Kyler doesn't have to study!! Can't wait for the semester to be over and neither can he!

10- Those men and women who served and are serving our country! Thank you!!!

Day 2

I'm so so thankful for this handsome guy! He has been so good to me. He's such a hard worker and cares about my happiness. He's got a fun sense of humor and keeps me smiling all the time. He loves the gospel and honors his priesthood. He treats me like a princess and I love him so much! Thanks for all you do for me Babe! I love you!!

24 Days of Thankful

I've decided I'm going to give this a go... I hope it will help me this month in remembering all the things I'm thankful for and not skip over this holiday. Wish me luck :)!

Day 1- I'm thankful for the chance that Heavenly Father gave me to come to earth and be blessed with a body, and a family. I'm glad to be among those that accepted the Plan of Salvation and chose to be tested on earth. I don't know where I'd be without the gospel!

Happy Halloween

Card Throwing

One random Sunday after family dinner with my family, my sisters and our boys stayed late to hang out and play games. Towards the end of the night this is what was occupying the boys. Learning to throw cards... It was hilarious! Dont worry Mom- there was adult supervision! :) I'm glad my family gets along so well!

Anniversary!!

FYI: There are 4 new posts. Sorry there are so many. I've been wanting to get caught up for a while now!

Kyler and I celebrated our 2 anniversary a couple weeks ago. We decided to celebrate in Idaho. We got tickets to see Wicked in Boise and then we drove to stay in Lava Hot Springs for a couple more days. It was really nice to spend a few days with just the two of us!

Driving to Idaho

In the theater waiting for Wicked to start.. Not the best picture- Sorry!

Every time we go to Idaho we get some dollar lottery tickets- Just for fun... :)

Kyler thought this motel was funny for their color tv sign... They could definitely use an update!

We stopped by the Driscoll Potato farm. President Driscoll was Kylers mission president. We didn't ever get to see him in person though :(

Our hotel was awesome. It was kind of like an anniversary inn place with the themed rooms. It was only a minute away from the pools but far enough that it was away from the noise of main st. Here is the bed in the room we stayed in. I believe this owner bought all his furniture from places like india. So cool

The entry to the Lion Gate Manor.

I love you Babe! Its been the best 2 years ever!

Montana Week

Montana was the second half of our vacation. It was more work than play though. We were up there trying to help my parents get a few projects finished before my parents opened their motel and bakery. I think we got quite a bit accomplished! Kyler and the guys did the majority of the work because it was mostly construction work. They did awesome!

Craig and Kyler clearing out the wall in the soon to be big family room.

Kyler doing some electrical work... He's so talented!

My mom saved a whole bunch of toys that my grandma used to have in her gift shop and Kyler got his hands on one...

Joe helping on the other side doing electrical.

We finally got some pictures hung on the bakery wall. It helped a ton to liven up the room! Doesn't my Mom's food look tasty!!

Thanks Mom and Dad for letting us come hang out with you!

Random Post

Here's a couple of the random things we've done the past little while. Still trying to get caught up on the blog.. :)

Kyler smoked a turkey the Saturday before Mother's day. It was amazing! So tasty.

Kyler and I

I tried my hand at making a Trifle.. Those things are so yummy and fun to make!

Finished product

Kyler and I again...

We did one more session at the Ogden Temple a couple of days before it closed. I'm sad to see them tear it down and rebuild but excited at the same time to see the new outcome. I'm glad we made it one last time :)
